Rosenzweig Family Icons
In honour of the hard work and dedication to growing grapes and making wines of distinction , the following small batch, special wines have been made in honour of the following Rosenzweig family generations that have made Rosenvale Vineyards a successful grape growing and winemaking legacy in its own right.

Rosenzweig JR, James Rosenzweig
Is in line with our Founder, James Rosenzweig’s humbled success in the Barossa Valley as a grower, winemaker, educator, Barossa Baron, and somewhat of the Black Sheep in the Rosenzweig generations. This wine was barrel selected from a parcel of Old Vine Reserve Shiraz, these few brilliant barrels shone above all expectations of that super-premium Shiraz.
James constructed the Rosenvale winery on the home of Rosenzweig vineyard primarily to better understand the fruit that was grown across the family's now 280 acres of vineyards. Understanding the quality of the grapes grown through ferment to bottle has enabled James and the Rosenzweig generations to continue to evolve, improve and create vine balance and the best possible fruit quality for the iconic Barossa wineries we supply.

Rosenzweig der Aub
Is in celebration of our very own Aubrey Rosenzweig, a vigneron who has been supplying grapes to some of the Barossa’s iconic wineries over his career. Aub as all know him across the Barossa is an incredibly strong individual, both lively and stubborn carries his opinion and passion for delivering outstanding fruit, on time and in his way.
Our Survivor Vines are alive today because of him. Aub over time has protected these vineyards by declining any participation in the Government's ‘Vine Pull’ of the 1980s and has resisted giving in to Nuriootpa’s town expansion to provide these delicious and meticulous Grenache wines we enjoy today.

"This boasts striking potential, suggesting it may well become the exemplar of the range in time. Poised, detailed, fresh, and immensely drinkable as a result. The tannins reach across the palate to sustain the fruit while suppressing it in the name of tension; long limbs incite the saliva and entice the next glass. The riffs on tamarind, turmeric, pomegranate, white pepper, raspberry, ume, and sapid red cherry are compelling. The 50% whole bunch equation imparts accents of mezcal and clove while evincing textural authority. This grows in stature with time in the glass. Very impressive Grenache. Mid-weighted of feel, transparent, fresh, and almost balletic. This is a party to which Barossa is tardy. Here is the invitation. 96 points (Ageing 2022-2030) $120" Ned Goodwin MW
“A rich and meaty grenache with aromas of grilled rosemary, mulberries, blueberries, cloves, and spiced tea. Full-bodied, with ripe and soft tannins. Concentrated, with a lengthy, savory finish. Drink or hold.” $120 - 92 points" James Suckling
