What a varietal pairing. Both Spanish varietals and they produce exceptional wines both in their home country as well as the Barossa. Grenache has been a main varietal in the Barossa from its early settlement and our vines were planted in the 1960’s. The Tempranillo is a younger vineyard introduced as part of our diversity and development program.
We aim for medium weight elegant but structured wine. Grenache provides all the softness and elegance and the Tempranillo adds fullness with increased mouth feel and textured tannins.
Colour: Medium weight red brick with a ruby hue
Aroma: Spicy lift over cherry and forest fruits with a hint of earthiness
Palate: Cherries, Raspberries and spices from the Grenache lead the way with the Tempranillo kicking in the red currents and cola notes drawn through with gracious tannins for length and poise. Seamless flavours.
