2014 Rosenvale Reserve Semillon



Semillon…..Barossa’s white Princess. We take our Semillon vineyard planted in 1940 which is hand pruned the rod and spur way and trained on a modern trellis system. With attention to detail in the vineyard and the help of mother nature we harvest the fruit on a given flavour profile for this old Semillon clone. Our winemaker then creates a unique Barossa Reserve style.

The grapes are harvested whilst still cold, destemmed, pressed in our open-cage bag press to extract the free run juice which is chilled and allowed to settle before ferment. Enjoying a natural ferment in French oak barrels with extended lees contact and a short maturation time until bottling. This brings a point of difference to our Estate Semillon.

Created by hand and barrel to give us a refreshing, fruit-driven wine full of complex and attractive herb and lemon flavours, creative-mouth feel and the ability to sit in the cellar for a while to gain some bottle age.

Made for the Restaurant industry and home chef to show off alongside their food creations.
